Masih ingat dengan AMD E-350? Kombinasi APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) ini secara langsung pada motherboard Mini-ITX pernah beberapa kali hadir di PCplus. Kombinasi ini berukuran mungil, namun cukup bertenaga untuk memutar video Full HD. Cocok untuk HTPC. Nah, HDC-I dari ECS semakin menegaskan kecocokan ini.
Selain fasilitas yang umum ditawarkan, ECS HDC-I menambahkan USB 3.0, kartu WiFi, dan Bluetooth. Ada juga eSATA, slot mini PCI-Express (slot buat memasang kartu WiFi), dan beberapa fitur khas ECS. Meskipun begitu, hal yang menegaskan ECS HDC-I cocok untuk HTPC adalah penyertaan paket dari Skymedia, tepatnya keyboard multimedia wireless dan XBMCbuntu—Ubuntu/Lubuntu yang dilengkapi aplikasi multimedia/media player XBMC dan telah dikonfigurasi.
Sayang, tidak ada FireWire, begitu pula dengan saklar mudah clear CMOS di panel belakang dan indikator akan proses POST (Power-On Self-Test).
